What first aid courses are available?
The training courses fall into two distinct categories – the first is First Aid at Work and the second is First Aid in other settings.
First Aid at Work
4 day First Aid at Work course – this course is an initial training course designed to give first aiders all the practical skills that they need to carry out their duties competently and confidently.
2 day First Aid at Work re-qualification course – this course is designed for people who already possess a current First Aid at Work certificate and who need to re-qualify.
1 day Appointed Persons course – this course is designed for Appointed Persons and included instruction on how to deal with medical emergencies.
First Aid in other settings
12 hour Paediatric course – this course is designed for anyone caring for pre-school children. It is suitable for childminders and nursery staff.
1 day course for school staff caring for children – this course is designed for school staff who may be responsible for providing first aid to children.
Short sessions – these courses are designed around the needs of the client and can range from 2 to 4 hour sessions.
